Nikki Benson

Born into a farming family in Boonah in the Scenic Rim, Nikki has always loved mountains and hiking. With her husband Dave, she has hiked on six out of seven of the world’s continents (Antarctica still to come!) and had adventures in 35 countries to date with many
more on her wish list.

With an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy, Nikki has lived and worked abroad in Canada and the United Kingdom. She made the switch across to tourism when an opportunity presented to work at a retreat centre in England where she found a love of
people and place combine. Nikki especially enjoys conversation on tours with the guests who come from such a wide range of wonderful backgrounds and experiences.

In her spare time she enjoys visiting the family farm, renovating, art and architecture, jogging
and hosting dinner parties.

Nikki’s favourite places in Queensland: Dead heat – Noosa National Park and the Scenic Rim.

Nikki’s favourite places outside Queensland: The Dolomite mountains in Italy (actually, Florence, Venice, Tuscany … anywhere in Italy!); Barcelona, Spain and the fascinating ruins in the upper reaches of the Nile River in Egypt
