Order of activities depends on tides and pick up / drop off locations. Expect to visit:

  • 40 Mile Beach – Breathtaking 4WD beach driving past massive, colourful sand dunes.
  • Red Canyon – Myriad of colour shades in the natural sand canyon
  • Double Island Point – Considered by many as the most beautiful 4WD beach in the world! Includes turquoise water and pristine sand backed by impressive sand dunes. Safe swimming options including it’s own ‘beach lake’ and Pacific Ocean protected by the Point.
  • Carlo Sandblow – Stunning views atop the very unique sand blow along Rainbow Beach.
  • ‘75 Mile Beach’ highway – Cruising at 80 kph.
  • Eli Creek – Beautiful crystal-clear creek flows through vegetated banks and right out to the beach.
  • Indian Head – Distinctive rocky cliff which acts as a lookout where you can watch for stingrays, dolphins, whales (in season) and sea turtles coasting along.
  • Champagne Rockpools – Beautiful natural rock pools.
  • Waddy Point – Catch sweeping views across the headland of ocean and beach.
  • The Cathedrals – A stretch of 35km of remarkable cliffs of coloured sands.
  • Meheno Shipwreck – Used in WWI and shipwrecked on Fraser shortly after.
  • Lake Wabby – Giant sand blow (moving dune) sweeps down into the green coloured lake.
  • Lake McKenzie – Famous, stunning turquoise-blue fresh water lake with a beach of fine white sand.
  • Serious 4 wheel driving – Through the island’s sand dunes.
  • Central Station – Stroll through the rainforest along Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk and visit the peaceful Basin Lake.
  • Pile Valley – Wander through the impressive satinay trees in (massive trees on sand!).
  • Hervey Bay Ferry – Beautiful views across the bay.
